1980 - 90 MASK. Period of research within the Humor, therefore continuing with Burlesque Masks and "papier-mache'" Puppets were his main inspiration due to his lifetime long involvement in the construction of "Carnevale di Viareggio" floats, festival held during the Mardi Gras period in his native town of Viareggio. Also a period of the "Burlesque Macabre" with his unique skulls and skeletons involved in all sort of activities. the Regione Toscana charges him to go to Australia for art shows and conferences. The main theme, "Hundur - The art of smile", wants to explore the "taste and flavour" of the tuscan Italian culture. The author uses his Smile Art concept to convey the historical and constructive importance of the European culture.
